Full Itinerary
Day 01: Hanoi Arrival
Upon arrival, our representative will be waiting to warmly greet and escort you to the hotel. Check into the hotel and the rest of the day will be yours. Relax at leisure. Overnight in Hanoi.
Day 02: Hanoi Sightseeing
Today, wen visit Hanoi’s famous sites consisting of the Ho Chi Minh Complex: Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, Ho Chi Minh Museum and his stilt house, Presidential Palace and the One Pillar Pagoda.
We also have a chance to head to historic University – The Temple of Literature, which dates back to the 11th century; get to know about Buddhist practices in a serene lakeside pagoda. Head to the renowned Ethnology Museum. Make our way to the Old Quarter to stroll through the narrow streets which were well-known for its specialized craft making guilds, the guild streets are named for their product or location and still bear such names recently; and then, watch a unique water puppet show featuring the Viet folklores and culture.
Day 03: Hanoi – Halong
At 08:00, we leave Hanoi for Halong Bay and board a boat, enjoying lunch while cruising through the bay. The magnificent bay houses thousands of limestone islands that rise from the waves like dragons’ teeth. Later, in the afternoon, we will visit an exhilarating fishing village with the opportunity to bump into fishermen who have been living in the bay for almost 3 generations. Back on board, we will enjoy cocktails or cooking classes while admiring the sunset, before immersing in a lavish dinner onshore. Afterward, you can choose to do anything from joining movie night, playing board games, or relaxing at the beauty spa before retiring for the night.
Day 04: Halong – Hanoi
We will start the day with a morning Tai Chi exercise and an opportunity to marvel at the sunrise over the bay. After breakfast, we will be taken to a stunning limestone grotto before making our way back to the junk for a final glimpse of Halong Bay while cruising back to the dock. In Hanoi, relax at leisure. The rest of the day will be yours.
Day 05: Hanoi – Hue
Morning at leisure until you are escorted to the airport for a flight to Hue. You are greeted by our local driver in Hue and transfer to the hotel. Check-in hotel and get yourselves some leisure time. Later, in the afternoon, visit the famous Citadel followed by a dinner including the cuisine of Hue. Overnight at your hotel.
Day 06: Hue Day Tour
Morning to embark on the cruise on the Huong River, stop at Dong Ba Market and buy the necessary food for a cooking class with our chef. Head to Thien Mu Pagoda – the symbol of Hue City and then, we back to the boat for a scenic cruise to Thuy Bieu village. Arrive in Thuy Bieu and visit the garden house, ancient ancestral temples, an incense making family to discover the daily life of local people. Make our way to Thuy Bieu restaurant for a cooking class where you will prepare lunch by yourself. After lunch, take some time to relax with a short herbal foot bath & massage. The rest of the day visit Tu Duc tomb and stop for photo shooting at the incense making the village. Back to the hotel and overnight in Hue.
Day 07: Hue – Hoi An
Follow by the Old-aged citadel is an ancient town – Hoi An. After a drive through the scenic Ocean Clouds Mountain Pass (Hai Van pass). We stop at Cham Museum and Marble in Danang, we will arrive at the well-known Hoi An ancient town. Check-in the hotel and leisure time. Overnight in Hoi An.
Day 08: Hoi An Sightseeing
We spend a half-day to stroll through the stunning streets of this 16th-century trading port, where we will have a chance to admire the Japanese, Chinese, French and Vietnamese architectural styles; Head to the Chinese Embassy Halls, Japanese Covered Bridge, Phuc Kien Pagoda, and Tan Ky House. The afternoon will be free time for shopping or relax. Overnight in Hoi An.
Day 09: Hoi An – Da Nang – Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon)
Today, you will be escorted to the airport for morning flight to Ho Chi Minh City. Upon arrival, transfer and check into your hotel. Later, enjoy a half-day tour to the Old Post Office, Notre Dame Cathedral, Independence Hall, War Remnants Museum and Ben Thanh Market. The balance of the day is at leisure and overnight in Ho Chi Minh City.
Day 10: Ho Chi Minh City – Cao Dai – Cu Chi Tunnel
This morning, we head to Tay Ninh where the Cao Dai Temple located, to witness a colorful but solemnly midday service. Caodaism is a combination of Buddhism, Taoism, Confucianism, and Christianity. After lunch, drive to explore the complicated network of underground tunnels in Cu Chi, which were used by the guerilla fighters during the Vietnam War.
Day 11: Ho Chi Minh City – Mekong Delta
Today, we go to Mekong delta to explore the lush beauty of the Mekong Delta as you wind your way down narrow canals on a sampan that glides along fruit orchards, paddy fields and sleepy villages; head to a floating market, where vendors display the delta’s bounty of fruits and vegetables on their boats. Overnight onboard.
Day 12: Mekong Delta – Ho Chi Minh City
Breakfast on board, then we continue to cruise the Mekong Delta before you head back to the wharf where your vehicle is waiting to take you back to Ho Chi Minh City. The balance of the day is at leisure or last-minute shopping in the busy streets of Saigon. Overnight in Ho Chi Minh City.
Day 13: Ho Chi Minh City – Phnom Penh
Breakfast in hotel, transfer to airport for flight to Phnom Penh. You are welcome at the airport and transfer to the hotel check-in. Early afternoon, we start our visit to the famed Royal Palace consisting of Royal Residence, the Throne Hall, the Silver Pagoda, and other buildings. The Silver Pagoda (Wat Preah Keo Morokat) is one of the city’s most visited sites and offers a display of priceless Buddhist and historical objects. The Pagoda draws its name with more than 5,000 silver tiles, which cover a floor in the temple. It serves less as a functioning shrine, no monks recently reside here, than a repository of treasures of culture such as the renowned Emerald Buddha as well as manifold other valuable statues. From there we will take the cyclo ride to head to Wat Phnom, the symbol of Phnom Penh. Overnight at hotel in Phnom Penh.
Day 14: Phnom Penh Sightseeing
Today, we discover the National Museum’s collection of Khmer art displaying over 5,000 objects consisting of statues and other artifacts from Angkor Wat. Then we explore the Phnom Penh’s Psar Toul Tom Pong, which is known as the Russian Market, a great place to hunt for souvenirs, curios, and silks. After lunch at a local restaurant, we head to the Toul Sleng Prison Museum and the Killing Fields of Choeung Ek-both grim reminders of Cambodia’s bloody past under Pol Pot. It is almost inconceivable to confront the true evil's nature here in this gentle land; however, the Buddhist memorial at Choeung Ek commemorates the 1.7 million victims during the period 1975-79 Pol Pot regime. This excursion may prove distressing for some. It is, however, an essential piece of this country’s history as well as a cultural puzzle. Before evening, we will enjoy a 1-hour cruise on the Mekong River before sunset.
Day 15: Phnom Penh – Siem Reap
Breakfast and you will be escorted to the airport for the flight to Siem Reap. Upon arrival, pick up and escort to the hotel check-in. Later, visit the jungle-covered temple of Ta Prohm which is an incredible sight. There are enormous fig trees as well as gigantic creepers embracing in the structure's stone foundations offering the impression of man’s creation being reclaimed by nature's powerful forces. Afternoon, drive to Choueng Kneas village, where you will take the boat to visit the way of life Cambodian poor people along with schools, restaurants, hospitals and much more floating on the great lake of Tonle Sap. Overnight at hotel in Siem Reap.
Day 16: Siem Reap Sightseeing
Today, we spend our day exploring the wondrous ancient ruins with the South Gate of Angkor Thom, which is renowned for its series of colossal human faces carved in stone, the Royal Enclosure, the impressive Bayon Temple, Phimeanakas, the Elephant Terrace, the Terrace of the Leper King, and the largest & the most complete temple of Angkor Wat. This 12th-century architectural masterpiece covers an area of about 210 hectares. We wander around this massive edifice, admiring the manifold galleries with Columns, pavilions, libraries, courtyards, and ponds full of water reflecting the towering temple. Then, we will take the Tuk-tuk ride (the common taxi in Cambodia) to cruise around the suburb of Siem Reap, then to visit the Artisan D’angkor workshop and local old market “Psar Chas”. Overnight at hotel in Siem Reap.
Day 17: Siem Reap Departure
Time to say goodbye. Breakfast and morning at leisure until getting escorted to the airport for a flight coming home. The Asia vacation ends. Hope you enjoyed the trip and wish that we could serve you next time.
