Day 01: Taipei Arrival
Upon arrival at the airport, our representative will be waiting to meet you and escort you to the hotel. En route, we will stop over the famous Taipei 101 which is the second tallest skyscraper in the world. While standing on the 89th floor of this site, you can witness a majestic vista. The rest of the day will be yours, relax at leisure. Overnight in Taipei.
Day 02: Sun Moon Lake - Foguangshan Monastery - Kaohsiung (B, L)
Today, we head to Xiangshan Visitor Center. This uniquely designed building owns wood-patterned exteriors & wings stretching like human arms that embrace the earth. Additionally, the 2 giant canopy structures, 34-m-long and 8-m-tall each, allow you to get into stunning sceneries of the Sun Moon Lake from the top.
Then, drive to Fo Guang Shan Buddhist Monastery, the most renowned Buddhist holy place of southern Taiwan. Here, learn about Buddhism during the monastery walking tour, and there will be an opportunity to try a Buddhist vegetarian lunch (at your own cost) and bump into some of the monks and nuns during our visit to the Main Shrine, Great Buddha Land where you will find a huge Buddha statue. Later, in the afternoon, we will drive to Kaohsiung City - the second-largest city in Taiwan. The tour will take you to Love River as well as Liuhe Night Market. Overnight at Kaohsiung.
Day 03: Kaohsiung - Kenting - Taitung (B, L)
Breakfast and we enjoy a visit to Kenting National Park which is located at Taiwan’s southern tip and the 60km of coral-rimmed shoreline along the 3 sides of the park offer its main attractions. We will stop at Chuanfan Rock, Oluanpi lighthouse, Maopitou coastal scenic area, and Longpan Park. Continue to transfer to Taitung via Southern Link Highway. Overnight at Taitung.
Day 04: Taitung - East Coast National Scenic Area - Hualien (B, L)
This morning, we enjoy an exhilarating East Coast National Scenic Tour. The East Coast National Scenic Area aka Taiwan's Last Unspoiled Land, stretches 170 kilometers down the east coast of the island. Elements that are weathering, erosion, and accumulation have produced a wide range of landforms here. We will stop at Xiaoyeliu, Sanxiantai, ShiTiPing, Fanshuliao, Marble Factory as well as Exhibition Hall. In the late afternoon, we will traverse to one of the most stunning national parks in Taiwan - Taroko Gorge National Park. Overnight in Hualien.
Day 05: Hualien - Taroko Gorge - Qingshui Cliff - Taipei (B, L)
Today, spend a whole day visiting Taroko National Park and, Taroko Gorge is an exceptionally beautiful, narrow raving created by the Liwu river that has cut deep into the mountains of solid marble. A road is carved into sheer walls of rock that rewinds its way past forested peaks as well as cliffs that tower thousands of feet above it, while hundreds of feet below a river roaring past gigantic marble boulders.
Passing tunnel of Nine Turns, Ci Mu Bridge and we stop at Shakadang Trail or Lushui Trail, Eternal Spring Shrine (Changchun Temple), Swallow Grotto, and Qingshui Cliff. We will drive back to Taipei via Su-Hwa Highway and Hsuei-Shan Long Tunnel (12.9 Kms) to arrive at around 6-7 PM.
Day 06 – 07 – 08: Taipei to Seoul (B, L)
Today, morning at leisure until taking a drive to the airport for a flight to Seoul. Upon arrival, our representative will be waiting to greet and escort you to the hotel where you will stay for 2 days.
During our 3 days in Seoul, we visit several stunning tourist attractions in Seoul such as Seoul Tower, Gyeongbokgung, Cheongwadae Palace, COFX Aquarium, Dora Observatory, Dorasan Peace Park, the third tunnel, and so on. Every destination has its own important and significant features making our journey would be more fascinating. Overnight in Seoul.
Day 09: Seoul - Jeonju (B, L)
Today you’ll meet your guide at 8 am at a predetermined meeting point near Gwanghwamun Intersection. Depart from Seoul to drive around 1.5 hours to Gongju, where you will visit the UNESCO-listed Tomb of King Muryeong and the Gongsanseong Fortress. Next, we’ll continue another 1.5 hours to Buyeo, the ancient capital of the Baekje Dynasty. Visit Baekje Cultural Land, where you will see a palace, castle, cultural hall, and more.
You’ll also have the option to take an optional boat ride to see Goransa Temple and Nakhwaam Bluff (extra $15 per person) where 3,000 court ladies of Baekje plunged into the river to get away from being captured and dishonored when the enemy breached the castle on the last day of the Kingdom. Next, we’ll continue another hour to UNESCO-listed Jeonju Hanok Village, including about 700 traditional Korean “Hanok” houses. Overnight in Jeonju.
Day 10: Jeonju - Yeosu (B, L)
Today, after enjoying breakfast at your hotel, we’ll transfer 1 hour and 20 minutes to Gwangju, where we’ll head to the Gwangju City Museum (closed on Mondays) to learn more about this historically rich place. After learning about Korean culture and history, we’ll move on to the Boseong Green Tea Plantation, a stunning, verdant, and peaceful getaway. Next, we’ll drive about an hour to Suncheon, where you will visit the stunning Suncheon Bay Garden. Finally, we’ll arrive in Yeosu, a lovely port city. See the Historic Site of Admiral Yi Sun-sin’s Path before overnighting in Yeosu.
Day 11: Yeosu - Gyeongju (B, L)
After enjoying breakfast at your hotel, head out to discover the Jinjuseong Fortress and the Nongae Shrine, historically linked to the Japanese invasion in 1592. We’ll continue 1.5 hours to the seaside city of Busan. Discover the city on an afternoon tour that visits the Jagalchi Market, Korea's largest seafood market, and then Haeundae Beach to soak up the sun. Finally, travel to Gyeongju for overnight.
Day 12: Gyeongju - Wonju (B, L)
After breakfast at your hotel, you’ll embark on a Gyeongju City Tour at 8:00 am. See the UNESCO World Heritage Seokguram Grotto ($5 entrance fee not included) and the Bulguksa Temple, world-famous for its stunning architecture. Next, we’ll drive about 2.5 hours to Andong Hahoe Folk Village, preserved since the Joseon Dynasty and continuing to thrive to this day. Then, we’ll continue 2 hours to Wonju, surrounded by the stunning Chiaksan Mountains and the Seam River. This city was the capital of Gangwon Province for 500 years during the Joseon Dynasty, and it maintains rich traditions and fascinating cultural relics. Overnight in Wonju.
Day 13: Wonju - Seoul (B, L)
After breakfast, we’ll transfer 1.5 hours to Pyeongchang, host of the 2018 Winter Olympics. Then we’ll continue another hour to Mt. Seorak National Park, where the peaks of the Seoraksan Mountains break through the clouds while jade-like water flows through the valleys, creating breathtaking views and making this Korea’s most famous national park. Due to the fact that manifold rare species found there, UNESCO designated this national park a Biosphere Preservation District in 1982. Finally, we’ll transfer 4 hours back to Seoul, arriving around 7 pm. Happy trails!
Day 14: Seoul - Osaka (B, L)
Breakfast and morning at leisure until taking a drive to the airport for a flight to Osaka. Upon arrival, our representative in Japan will be waiting to warmly welcome and escort you to the hotel for check-in. The rest of the day will be yours. Overnight in Osaka.
Day 15: Osaka to Nara – Kyoto – Osaka (B, L)
Today, we proceed for a visit to the Osaka castle and head to the well-known and grand Nara Deer Park. Also, we visit the renowned Todaiji Temple – a World’s Heritage Site recognized by UNESCO in Japan.
Later, take a pretty drive to Kyoto. When we reach Kyoto, we head to the famous golden pavilion and Kiyomizu Temple. Pay a visit to some more attractions and then, we come back to Osaka. Enjoy the vibrant nightlife in Osaka. Overnight in Osaka.
Day 16: Osaka - Hiroshima (B, L)
Enjoy breakfast and morning at leisure and then, proceed to Hiroshima. Once reaching there, we will go to the immensely famous tourist destination of Bomb Dome where you can get an insight into the sorrow and loss of the Japanese once suffered in World War II. We then visit the Sadako Monument reflecting the authentic spirit of the people living in Hiroshima. Before heading back to the hotel, we pay a visit to the famous Hiroshima History Museum and the Peace Park.
Later, enjoy the endlessly vibrant nightlife in Hiroshima. Overnight in Hiroshima.
Day 17: Hiroshima - Tokyo (B, L)
Early breakfast and we take on a Bullet train to Tokyo. Upon arrival, our representative will meet you and escort you to the hotel. Relax at leisure in Tokyo. If you want to get more fun, feel free to ask your guide for some suggestions. Overnight in Tokyo.
Day 18: Sightseeing Tour in Tokyo (B, L)
This morning, our last day will begin with a visit to the well-known Yamashita Park as well as the Royal Park Tower. The park will be especially splendid and gorgeous in mid-April and mid-May when the wisteria bloom season begins. We then head to the Palette Town, Toyota Mega & Venus Fort and pass through the famous Rainbow Bridge.
Later, we go to the next location of the Asakusa Temple Complex as well as the Shopping in Nakamise arcade and have some time to refresh at Shinjuku Gyone. Our day trip to Tokyo will end up with a visit to the famous Tokyo Tower offering a panoramic view of the city. Overnight in Tokyo.
Day 19: Tokyo Departure (B)
Time to say goodbye. Enjoy breakfast and morning at leisure until taking a drive to the airport for a return flight. Hope you had a beautiful time with our tour and wish that we can serve you next time when it comes to other Asia vacation packages.
